If companies can be held liable for actual human employees causing damage, why should AI firms get a free pass when their bots malfunction and breach systems? Accountability breeds responsibility.

yeah companies absolutely should be liable when their ai goes haywire and causes actual damage. had my data stolen by some bot last year and the company just shrugged, so this needs teeth.

Look, if I build a weapon and it escapes the factory, I can't just shrug and say "not my problem anymore." AI firms literally created these systems, so accountability isn't radical-it's basic responsibility.

wait, if we don't hold ai firms accountable for their bots gone wrong, who exactly pays when someone gets scammed or hacked? the companies profiting off the tech?
